Cassadaga
This is a cool place to visit. It’s a nice community where likeminded people have chosen to live together. The grounds are very well kept and provide with a lot of photo opportunities. While I was there I heard some people talking about how the whole area is supposed to have a blue hue to it because of the reflection from some trees. Didn’t know exactly what they meant until I got the pictures loaded on my computer. The sky was so darn blue in all of them. It could be the time of day, or the circular polarizer I had on the lens, or just pure coincidence, but I fell in love with the place and plan to go back to it soon to take more shots. Florida is very flat. This place has a few small hills that make for interesting angles in your photos.
The architecture around the whole area is very eclectic. There is a hotel that some people say is haunted. There is a temple where they conduct a "sans" nightly. Behind the temple there is a nice grassy area where some people have seen blue orbs floating at night. They have a nice playground next to a lake that has great landscape photo opportunities. Didn't see much wildlife in the area, but the grounds were very well manicured.
Early morning is definitely the time to be there. The sun is at the right angle to shine on most of the structures there. There is also a house close by that people say used to belong to Al Capone. Great architecture on it.
